 Katherine Glorioso Dress is the founder of Gossip on 23rd, a boutique that has been redefining affordable fashion in the D.C. area since 2007. With a passion for making California-inspired, breezy styles accessible to everyone, Katherine has curated a collection of unique clothing and accessories, all priced under $100. Her boutique, originally located in Crystal City, known as a haven for those seeking trendy, interesting, and one-of-a-kind pieces.

Katherine's journey back into the world of fashion began after a career shift from mortgage banking. Inspired by a friend's boutique in Los Angeles, she brought the West Coast vibe to the East Coast, starting with trunk shows and a booth at Eastern Market before establishing her brick-and-mortar store. Over the years, Gossip on 23rd has grown, even launching a mobile fashion truck for pop-up events, and an ecommerce boutique. www.Gossipon23rd,com.

Known for her infectious enthusiasm and dedication to her customers, Katherine takes pride in styling clients and helping them express their individuality through fashion. Her boutique continues to thrive as she shifted to personal styling and pop-up shops as a go-to destination for those who value style, affordability, and a personal touch.

Described by The Crystal City BID as a fashion maven. Her expertise, innovative approach to styles, and leadership in events. Her role as a founder/producer of Crystal Couture highlights Katherine as a trendsetter in the industry and an event planner extraordinaire. She has successfully earned her place as a local icon in the D.C. fashion scene.

Katherine is actively involved in producing fashion and runway shows, particularly through her boutique. She has hosted fundraising events for several non-profits including LLS, St. Jude's and many others that include fun runway shows, often featuring donors, local celebrities and celebrity guests as models. These events create a lively, engaging atmosphere for fashion enthusiasts. Her dedication to making fashion accessible and enjoyable shines through in these creative endeavors.

Featured on several local News Programs, creating a weeklong fashion segment on Wardrobe staples, a Wednesdays Child Episode with the goal of helping a child become adopted, News Trend Reports and more. 

Katherine has also appeared on RHOP with scenes shot inside her boutique. These appearances helped highlight her California-inspired styles and her love of being on camera.

​​Featured in Lucky Magazine, Arlington Magazine, Washingtonian and others, highlighting her unique California-inspired fashion sense, her dedication to affordable style, and her boutique's role in the local fashion scene. ​

​In 2023 Katherine decided to partner with a longtime friend and fellow entrepreneur and created Livin, a beach shop in St. Croix Virgin Islands. 

Through her experience she has been known to mentor and encourage others to pursue their dreams in the business world. Katherine's dedication to empowering others reflects her generous and community-focused spirit.

​

Her goals are more than just fashion and business; she has a dedication to helping others and not just her local community. Her involvement with St. Jude's, American Cancer Society, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) through their Visionaries of the Year campaign to raise funds and awareness for blood cancer research and support.
